Funding opportunities through programs
Exoikonomo - Epichiro Program
Submission of Investment Plan Proposals
Apply for funding under the "Exoikonomo - Epichiro" program to implement energy efficiency upgrades for buildings and non-building facilities, as well as to replace energy-intensive equipment in your business.
Program Budget
The maximum subsidized budget (public funding & private participation, excluding VAT) per eligible investment proposal is:

€500,000 for businesses in the Tourism sector

€250,000 for businesses in the Retail and Service sectors
Subsidy Percentage
For energy efficiency measures excluding building upgrades, the funding rate ranges from 30% to 50%, depending on business size.
For energy efficiency measures in buildings, the funding rate ranges from 40% to 65%, depending on business size.
Eligible Expenses
The grant covers costs related to:

Building envelope energy efficiency upgrades and lighting system improvements

Energy-saving interventions in heating, cooling, ventilation, and hot water systems

Installation of solar thermal systems

Replacement of energy-intensive equipment

Implementation of load balancing systems

Installation of automation, control, and energy management systems
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the program, your business must:

Operate within Greece

Submit only one investment proposal per VAT number
-
Not be classified as a financially distressed business

Have no pending state aid recovery obligations at the time of application (Deggendorf principle)

Ensure that the requested funding does not overlap with previously funded programs from national or EU resources

Commit to accessibility improvements for people with disabilities, where necessary
-
Have ownership, lease, or legal usufruct of the property for a period sufficient to account for the investment’s depreciation
